Whether you’re flying solo or you have a family, living in apartments in Lehi, Utah, definitely has its share of perks — ranging from rapid local progress to outstanding outdoor opportunities.

History of Lehi, Utah

First known as Sulphur Springs, Snow’s Springs, Dry Creek, and then Evansville, the town officially became Lehi City in 1852. According to the city website, “The Overland Stagecoach Route, the Pony Express Trail, and the Transcontinental Telegraph all passed through or near Lehi during the peak of their use.”

By the Numbers

Lehi is the fifth fastest-growing city in the U.S., according to the U.S. Census Bureau. The population is now more than 60,000, with more and more people recognizing Lehi for its natural beauty and its rising presence in a variety of industries, including technology. For instance, Adobe operates a 680,000-square-foot campus in Lehi.

The city also is marked by a rather young population base; the median age is just a shade more than 24 years old.

Things to Do

Many of the most intriguing activities around Lehi are located at Thanksgiving Point, a sprawling property that includes:

  • Museums
  • Botanical gardens
  • Farmland and animals
  • Interactive learning activities for children
  • Restaurants
  • Retail locations

During football season, many local sports fans enjoy watching the often-victorious Brigham Young University football team play its home games at scenic LaVell Edwards Stadium, which is perched at more than 4,600 feet and provides a view of the surrounding mountains.

Getting Outdoors in Lehi

With Utah Lake situated just south, the Jordan River flowing through town and the Wasatch Range of mountains nestled to the east, Lehi is one of the most beautiful parts of the state. To the west are the White Mountains and Oquirrh Mountains.

Lehi’s rugged locale gives local residents easy access to snow skiing, hiking, mountain biking, hunting and fishing, and much more.
